Patrick Adam is a Trade Credit Specialist with significant expertise in the structuring, dispute resolution, and complex credit associated with Trade Credit Insurance coverage.  Patrick is our lead for Trade Credit in Canada and also leads our geographic regions of Quebec and Latin America for all insurance product lines.  Prior to joining Nacora, Patrick spent many years as a Credit Insurance Underwriter at Export Development Canada (EDC).

Patrick’s career at EDC were focused on serving clients in the transportation sector, retail, telecom, and light manufacturing sectors with a large emphasis on capital equipment manufacturers. It was in this role that Patrick participated as an underwriter in the crucial and multi-pronged support of the Canadian Automotive Sector known as “The Bail Out” of General Motors and Chrysler.

While at EDC, Patrick had responsibility for clients with up to $2 billion in annual sales and was heavily involved in supporting Quebec exporters succeed on the global stage.  At EDC Patrick was known for being very client centric and holds a strong history of working through complex international transactions and challenging payment crises.

Prior to his career at EDC, Patrick spent years in roles ranging from Credit to Portfolio Risk Management and Finance at Bank of America (BOA).  It was at his time with BOA that Patrick was groomed as a future leader through the bank’s prestigious, “Management Development Program” which was reserved for its employees with the most potential.

Patrick is an MBA graduate of the Telfer School of Business in Ottawa and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Rochester, one of the top-ranked universities in the United States.
